Workshop 4. - Levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

Level 1 - Unit 4 - What ae you doing?

1. Make a photo story with photos of people doing things. Write sentences.
2. Look for a photo with lots of people doing different things. Write sentences describing what they are doing. Use positive and negative sentences. Look at the following example:




The birds are singing.
The cat is climbing the tree to catch the poor little birds.
Paul is watering the flowers..... Paul isn't reading a book.
The ducks are swimming. They're not flying.

3. Make 2 conversations: Interview yourself and a friend about your school life. Use the following questions:

How are you doing?
What's your name?
Where are you from?
What school do you go to?
What trimester are you in?
Are you a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior?
What are your favorite subjects?
What classes are you taking this trimester?
How are you doing in your classes?

Write 2 paragraphs, reporting your interview

Level 2 - Unit 11. Clothing

Complete the chart with vocabulary related to clothing.

Exercise 2
* Describe what you are wearing. Get a photo and answer the question:
A: What are you wearing?

Exercise 3.
* Make a collage of pictures of people and what they are wearing. (use he, she, they)
* Include negative sentences. Follow the model:

A: What's she wearing?
B: She's wearing a white skirt, a red tank top, and a blue sweater. She's also wearing bracelets. She's not wearing brown shoes. She's wearing black sandals.

Exercise 4.
* Create a catalogue with different items of clothing with their prices.  (include 6 items .. singular and plural)
* Make 6 short conversations about how much the items cost.

A: How much are the brown shoes?
B. They are $ 200.

Choose one of the places you talked about in exercise 1. Create a photo story about it. Using the questions in the image:

Level 4 - Unit 11. It's amazing!

* Work on: 1 Vocabulary link in your book - Talented people (slide 4)
* Create a collage with talented people. Write a short paragraph with info about them.

Exercise 2.
* Make a conversation: Offer and accept compliments. Use the conversation on slide 6 as a model. Add a  picture to illustrate your conversation.

Exercise 3
* Talk about skills and talents using can and could. Work on exercise B and C (slide 7)
* Connect ideas using Because. Work on exercises A, B and C (slide 12)

Exercise 4
Make a photo story of a talent you have. Use the following questions to tell us your story:
* What's the talent? What can you do?
* Describe the talent. What do you need to do it? When do you do it? where? why?
* Show proof of your talent (photos, video)

* Make a list of ten errands you run.

Exercise 2
* Work on pag 49 in your book (slide 7). Make requests using will, can, could, would and would you mind.

Exercise 3
* Describe your neighborhood. Use the vocabulary on page.51 and page 52. (slides 10, 11, 12)

Exercise 4
*Work on page 54. Imperatives (slide 13)
